Director

Robin Taylor

In 2005, Ms. Robin began as one of our preschool teachers here at Word of Life.  The next year she moved into the Director position.  She has spent many years working with children, first as a nanny and then as a teacher at a Montessori school in California.  Robin earned her Bachelor’s degree from California State University and looks forward to working towards her Master’s degree.  She is married and has a son and a daughter.

Preschool - 3 year olds

Kim Oberdieck

Ms. Kim began working at Word of Life as a teaching assistant in 2005.  After obtaining her Preschool certificate, she moved into a lead teacher position.  Kim is the lead teacher in our 3 year old classroom.  Kim is originally from the Dallas, Texas area, is married and has two sons and a daughter.

Rikka Stanford

Ms. Rikka leads our 4 year old classroom.  Rikka has over 20 years experience working with children in both Christian and public schools.  Rikka has been on staff at Word of Life since we opened in 2004.  Rikka has been married to her high school sweetheart for 36 years, and they have a daughter, a son, and four grandchildren.

Tracy Bailey

Ms. Tracy teaches our part time class for both 3 and 4 year olds.  She was born and raised in Phoenix, and lives with her husband, and three children.  Her daughter is Ms. Alex who works as a teacher's assistant at our school.  Tracy worked for 7 years in the Deer Valley School District and has her EMT certification.  Tracy began as a teacher’s aide at Word of Life in 2005, and received her Preschool Teaching Certification in 2007.

Heather Slater

Ms. Heather joined our school this past November, and teaches the part time 4 year old class.  While living in Germany with her husband and two daughters, Heather worked as a substitute teacher and headed up a program called Creative Critters that gave family support to other Air Force families.  Heather most recently taught Kindergarten in a local charter school.  Heather has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education and is working on her Master’s.

Sylvia Tribelhorn

Ms. Sylvia is our Kindergarten/1^st Grade teacher, and has been at Word of Life since 2005.  Sylvia started her own preschool through Kindergarten school in Pennsylvania in 1969 after receiving her Liberal Arts degree in Education.  Sylvia was also in administration for the Carlsbad Education Foundation in California.  Sylvia has three daughters, one lives in Arizona and one lives in New York.

 I chose Word of Life Christian School because of the friendly staff and teachers. I know that it’s a preschool and not just childcare.-Jewelie E.
