Easter 2023 - Every Day is Resurrection Day

Updated: Aug 6

Easter Sunday

“Every Day is Resurrection Day”

(New Beginnings)

Count Your Days

and

Make Your Days Count

If Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty… For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins… 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.”

-1 Corinthians 15:14-19

This is the day the Lord has made;

We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

-Psalm 118:24

“Teach us to number OUR days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

-Psalm 90:12

Every day is special

Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” 3 What do people gain from all their labors at which they toil under the sun? 4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. 5 The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. 6 The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. 7 All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again. 8 All things are wearisome, more than one can say… 9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. 11 No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them.”

-Ecclesiastes 1:2-11

“A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. BUT take heart! I have overcome the world.”

-John 16:32,33

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

-Matthew 11:28

2 Chronicles 1:7-12

God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” 8 Solomon answered God… you have made me king… 10 Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” 11 God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor… and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor…”

This is the [the YOUR day] day the Lord has made,

we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

-Psalm 118:24

The Two Perspectives of Job

“Remember, O God, that my life is but a breath; my eyes will never see happiness again… I despise my life; I would not live forever. Let me alone; my DAYS have no meaning.”

-Job 7:6,16

“I know that my REDEEMER lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.”

-Job 19:25
