Labor Day
Your Labor is not in Vain.
You make a difference.
“How ‘Work’ works”
How does God work?
How does God want us to work?
God works for you.
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
- John 3:14-17
God works for you with all strength.
“We know that all things WORK together FOR good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose… 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is FOR us, who can be against us?”
-Romans 8:28,31
God works for you by helping you want to work.
“It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
- Philippians 2:13
God keeps working for you to help you keep working.
“I am sure of this, that He who began a good WORK in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
-Philippians 1:6
God says that our WORK will not be in vain.
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
- 1 Corinthians 15:50-58
How does God want us to work?
“knowing that our labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
-Colossians 3:23
“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
-1 Corinthians 10:31
Work is a blessing.
“The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to WORK it and take care of it.”
-Genesis 2:15
Always work on “Balanced”
As if working for God
Believing that our work will make a difference, and is not in vain.
Let God continue to make a difference in your life.
Be Jesus to others, He is and always will be Jesus to you.
Your Labor is not in Vain.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”
- Matthew 11:28
