Mother's Day

Mother's Day

“I will never forget you.”

Because of spelling mistakes, sometimes it comes out as

"Nother's Day"

or

"Another's Day"

Looking at the word Mother as Nother,

sometimes we see this separate:

Not.her

Not...her

Not.....her

Not her

Not her day

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”

-Isaiah 66:13

“I, the LORD your God… show love to a thousand generations of

those who love me and keep my commandments.”

-Exodus 20:5,6

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed,

for I am your God.”

-Isaiah 41:10

“I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well… I have no greater joy than to hear that

my children are walking in the truth.”

-3 John 2,4

Make sure to care for yourself

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.” “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus…”

-Philippians 2:3-5

mom who starts to lose control]

Two key ways to care for yourself:

1. Take time for God

2. Allow him to forgive you

“God is faithful… will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”(1 Jn 1:9)

Believe that you are loved and appreciated for your sacrifices

even though your children may not often express it as they should.

You have put up with a lot.

PICTURE: Instead of a cake which says “I Love You” Moms

often feel like they get a cake which says…

"I Tolerate You"

Regardless of “how” life is going, view every day as a “Good Day”

with God’s help.

“This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

(Ps. 118:24)

God can help you to emotionally multi-task

“Rejoice with those who rejoice;

mourn with those who mourn.”

-Romans 12:15
