What is the value of life?
Q: What does life consist of?
“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
-3 John 1:2
“I pray [We can do this] that you may enjoy good health [But it might not be a reality] and that all may go well with you, [But it might not be a reality] even as your soul is getting along well.” [But this CAN ALWAYS be a reality]

Your soul is the key to the meaning of life.
It IS NOT God’s purpose that in THIS life we are:
Comfortable, Famous, Free from suffering or loss, Have good health, Receive justice or proper respect…
BUT for many people, one or more of these has become their life Mission, their Purpose, their “Meaning of life”.
It IS God’s purpose however that in THIS life we:
Know God
[To know his GRACE]
Glorify God
[Give attention to him]
“Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory [Attention] of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory [Give attention/Focus] in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame.” [this hope will not lead us to disappointment.]

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose MINDS [FOCUS with the mind] are steadfast, because they trust in you. 4 TRUST in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock [Strong] eternal.”

Q: Who or what is trying to murder you, your life and God’s purpose for your life?
A: [Satan]
Jesus said to the leaders; “Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

The Value that People Put on Life
Made in God’s image.

“It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”

Pleasure
Feelings
Optimism
Intelligence
Productivity
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

Mom People will value you based on:
•Their point of view
[Museum guy: Didn’t need one right now]
•Their level of information
[Merchant: “I’ll give you an banana.”]
•Their belief or lack of belief in you
[Jeweler: believed in the boy’s value as a person - Priceless]
Do not allow Satan to murder, destroy, or even water down your significance.
“A slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son [child] belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
