Memorial Day
Re Member
To remember is to
“Become a member with someone or something again.”
--- Bad ----------- Blah ----------- Good ---
(PTSD) (Boredom) (“Good
Old
Days”)
Remember ALL times focusing on “God”!
In the Bad Times, See God
“Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.”
-Deuteronomy 5:15
Q: What have you come/coming through?
Be healthy in “Re” “Membering” yourself with the thoughts and feelings of your Egypt.
Let God help you with your hurts.
"I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
-Jeremiah 29:11
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
-Psalm 34:18
In the “Blah” Times, See God
To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground… and to dust you will return.”
-Genesis 3:17-19
--- Bad ----------- Blah ----------- Good ---
(PTSD) (Boredom) (“Good
Old
Days”)
Beware of the BLAH times, because they can easily slip into BAD times if we try to mask them.

Memorial Day appreciation for the Freedom that we experience in the USA
“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.”
-2 Timothy 3:-10
We pray for those who serve in our military.
That they “endure” for having sacrificed “for the sake of” others.
"This [Memorial Day] is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” [For what God has done/accomplished]
-Psalm 118:24
Remember (never forget) the SACRIFICE of Jesus
Jesus said: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
- John 15:13
