Memorial Day
1. Remember and focus on the “Good”!
Be Optimistic…Solution oriented & Relevant.
“Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.” -Deuteronomy 5:15
Someone said that a well-trained memory was one that allows us to forget everything that isn’t worth remembering.
2. Remember the Bad only to LEARN from it.
“Remember the height from which you have fallen!
Repent and do the things you did at first.”
-Revelation 2:5
"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."
-Psalm 118:24
3. Remember that God is the SOURCE of your STRENGTH
“You may say to yourself, ‘MY power and the strength of MY hands have produced this wealth for me.’” Remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives the ability to produce wealth…”
-Deuteronomy 8:18
4. God remembers His PROMISES and so should we.
“He is the Lord our God… he remembers his covenant forever…”
-1 Chronicles 16:14,15
5. Remember that God is on YOUR side.
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”
-Romans 8:31
“Remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
-Nehemiah 4:14b
6. Remember SACRIFICE.
“If we confess our sins, he (God) is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
- 1 John 1:9
7. God does not forget sacrifice
Jesus said: “Greater love has no one than this:
to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
- John 15:13
“… the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life [SERVE] as a ransom for many.”

Always remember that God remembers.
“… they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.”
-1 Corinthians 3:8
Jesus said; “Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.”
